SECURING AN INCLUSIVE ECONOMY

Realizing the full potential of global economic recovery relies on building more sustainable, inclusive growth models that empower women entrepreneurs and supports women-owned businesses. Improving access to finance and training could dramatically improve the economic prospects of women entrepreneurs and their respective economies.

For Latin America to work toward an inclusive reactivation of the economy, the private and public sector will have to focus on helping and providing SMEs and women entrepreneurs with education, the right financial tools, and access to capital.

SYMPHONY BALLROOM I

EXPLORING THE NEW GENERATION OF PAYMENT SYSTEMS

The new Pix instant payment system in Brazil and the much-anticipated FedNow service in the U.S. are already setting standards when it comes to real-time payments.  Launched in November 2020, Pix was quickly adopted by Brazilian consumers and businesses as they increasingly relied on digital payment during the pandemic. Big changes are also underway in Colombia and Mexico as both the public sector and commercial payment companies are rapidly introducing new payment options to propel digital payment usage.

Even though FedNow is not yet in market, it is already shaping the next generation of payments in the U.S. Hear from product leaders of these teams as they discuss how the pandemic is catalyzing change in how we pay, the importance of overlays and fraud mitigation. Learn the regulatory perspectives on how policy and central bank operated payment systems is fostering payment ecosystem transformation.
