Karen Braithwaite is a Managing Director and Global Head of Transaction Banking and Barclaycard Payments for Barclays, based in London. Her responsibilities cover global payments, digital channels, liquidity products, foreign exchange, trade finance and working capital, card acquiring and issuance across product management and sales management. She leads teams that serve clients globally, including corporates, financial institutions, non-bank financial institutions and governments.
Karen has over 30 years banking experience, joining Barclays in late 2018 having spent the previous 21 years with BNY Mellon, where her most recent role was Managing Director, Global Head, Product Management, Treasury Services. Other roles have included Global Leadership of Client Onboarding, Servicing, Quality Programs and Banking Operations across Custody, Markets and Treasury Services. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Karen worked for Williams & Glynns Bank and S.G Warburg & Co.
